Doing Good Matters. It all starts with One act!

This article is about our inhibitions of doing good. Whenever life presents us an opportunity to do something good, we by our very nature start looking for genuineness. By nature, and looking at the world of deception around us its obvious to fall into the “questioning of things”. This way we often make right choices when it comes to impact making.

However, where most of us fail is overlooking the opportunity with a sense of either “the cause is not genuine enough or it might be genuine but I don’t have time to do the due diligence”. That’s where we fail in making an impact, when we can. There are roughly 120 MN online shoppers in India however according to recent study on philanthropy attributes it was found that merely 2% Indians are actively impacting or being part of fundraising and other social impacting activities online.

At weppl we are trying to solve this problem by bringing the same value item which the person would have bought anyways from any other place without thinking much, however, the twist here is that with every purchase the customer helps a life in a really big way. Because of YOU, A kid can study; the early intervention to a deaf kid, he can communicate better and an elderly destitute person can live a life of dignity once again.

We still meet with some resistance on the genuineness but we try to bring the transparency using technology to each individual who has put faith in us. Its small step today & so far, we have raised over INR 35k+ impacting more than 100+ lives.

At this point we are staying true to our calling and we are really thankful to all the changemakers who were the early adapters, the flag bearers of the idea of Doing Good. Its because of you all, we are able to continue our efforts. All it takes is many to come together & start that first small step to make this world a better place. Let’s unite again & never ignore any opportunity to do good.

To tomorrow!
